On July 1, 2014, the Fannin County School System entered into a contract with the Georgia Department of Education to become a State Charter System.
In January 2019, Fannin County submitted a Charter Renewal Application to the GADOE. The application contained all of our System Data that showed we had met all the requirements we had committed to when our Charter was approved. These included academic goals, innovative practices, initiating School Governance Teams, meeting financial guidelines, and operating a school system effectively.
Our current Charter Application was approved by the Commission in March 2019. We were singled out as having an exceptional system. Our new charter was effective as of July 1, 2019.
